PBRG just completed its comprehensive “Middleman Report.” It details the many ways you can cut out the “go-between” to save thousands in expenses. The 71-page report covers everything from travel… to entertainment… to utilities… to taxes and health care… and so much more. It’s a free bonus for all paid PBRG subscribers.

Below, you’ll find an excerpt from the report’s entertainment section…

Get invited to see big movies for free

  • If you’re a movie buff, consider seeing your next movie at a screening rather than a conventional showing. At Get Screening, you can sign up to be on the list of those invited to private screenings of movies before they are even released! After you join (for free), you’ll be notified when there is a screening scheduled in your area.

Stop paying to watch movies at home

The film industry is full of middlemen, from theaters to distribution companies. Here are some ideas for cutting them out:

  • Redbox allows you to watch movies for free. That’s right. Redbox wants to bring in new users, and as such, it releases new codes every day that are good for a free, one-day rental. (Note: The usual rate of $1 per day applies for late returns.)
  • Open Culture and Archive are huge online stores offering free entertainment. Included in their vast collections are thousands of free movies in genres like great classics, indie films, Westerns, film noir, documentaries, and a number of silent films.
  • Crackle lets you watch full-length Hollywood films completely free. (It’s received some complaints about its user interface, streaming speed, and glitches.) Still, if you’re into the idea of cutting out all middlemen, check it out.
  • Hulu does right by its customers by keeping the most up-to-date and in-demand shows at its customers’ fingertips for free. It has not, however, caved to pressure to cut down on the time allotted to commercials throughout its shows. Hulu continues to get high ratings, however, and can be found on its website or through your streaming device.
  • If you’re in a more serious mood, head to Documentary Heaven, where you can browse over 1,600 top-notch documentaries in categories like biographies, conspiracies, and health.
